The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
